The Kiwi Nest Collab

Last year I had the honour of collaborating with my fellow friend, pattern maker, seamstress, designer who dreamed up the most beautiful, bespoke kids clothing range. Carmel ‘takes the time to ensure your garments are designed and made well so they can be worn from season to season.’ I have heard her heart behind the vision and I am onboard! They’re made well. The time has been put in to think about what fabrics are ethical, what fabrics are hardwearing and long lasting, what fabrics are breathable, what fabrics will you be able to mend and continue to use - these garments are designed to be worn and worn well by your children.

It all started with an idea to make linen children’s aprons.. and then that turned into a 16 piece collection of linen garments made available from 6 months to 7 years old.

Every item has been consciously designed to allow ease of natural movement while creating a beautiful fit and timeless style.

Carmel’s first collection she released was ‘En Plein Air’ meaning ‘out in the open’ in French. The collection was inspired by the beauty, curiosity and movement of children in nature. Each garment has been designed to fit two sizes and possibly longer in quality condition as a staple item in your child’s wardrobe.

I have seen glimpses in to her next collection and there are some gorgeous garments and the size range is bigger. Keep your eyes peeled and follow her journey on Instagram  or shop her range at The Kiwi Nest
